Nestled close to Pachaug Forest, next door to Voluntown Town Hall you will find Voluntown Public Library inviting you to come in and browse its shelves and meet the staff. The library moved to its current location (the former U.S. post office building in Voluntown) at 107 Main Street in September 1999 after the combined efforts of citizen volunteers of the community.
When the library first became automated, a nearly year long effort, in 2001, there were about 10,000 items in the library excluding videos, which hadn’t been cataloged yet. Now, at the beginning of 2008, there are more than 19,000 books, videos, DVDs, audios, and BCDs (books on CD).
Voluntown Public Library is located at 107 Main Street, Route 138, in Voluntown, Connecticut.

Reading your description of our library makes you want to snuggle up in a corner with a good book…it makes you want to drive to our library to check out all of the good things it has to offer!!! We may be small, but we’re full of many great surprises!!
Another GREAT job, Deb!
A very proud staff member of Voluntown Public Library,
