Since the onset of the new year, things have been hopping at the library. Story times have resumed with a great attendance, the computer classes are a major hit with the public, and the demand continues to schedule more classes, and more diverse classes as well. Look for those soon coming in March. The CCC Camp program was well attended and the discussions regarding their history and the people involved was compelling.

The library has ordered a great selection of about 80 music CD’s with the settlement money distributed from the state attorney general. Look for them soon. Currently, I am selecting the non-fiction materials for the juvenile collection with grant monies received from the Eastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce Grant.

Later this week I will be attending another Gates Foundation funded seminar to bring health information resources to the library, so our great staff will be meeting the library’s needs while I am away.

The DVD swap is going well, and we just received a new selection of 30 DVD’s last week. Our patrons await these eagerly.
